Stories about us

We are brother and sister and have very different professional backgrounds. We support each other and are stronger together as our creativity is enhanced through our cooperation. We want to create functional and beautiful quality products and are inspired by everything surrounding us.

Tony – bro

I remember when I was a kid and tried to build an aeroplane out of a polystyrene box with tent pegs and plastic as wings. I crawled up on our garage roof and jumped out. Fortunately, it went well, but my plane building days were over.

I’m still fascinated by constructions and the functionality of the objects that surround me. How they work and how they can change purpose depending on how they are used. I have worked at the sea for many years, and I’m still inspired and fascinated by the maritime environment, which is clearly visible in my designs.

My design philosophy is turning function into design.

Anja – sis

Some of my fondest memories from when I was a child are me sitting at the desk in my room drawing and folding paper into beautiful – and some not so beautiful – creations. My dream was to one day make something someone would find so beautiful that he or she would want to buy it. I’m still fascinated by origami and folding paper, which can be seen in my designs, for instance in my design called ‘Diversity Diamond’.

I’m passionate about simplistic and beautiful design. I have worked with interior design most of my life, and I never get tired of changing, improving and renewing the décor of a room.

My design is inspired by clean lines and poetry.

Tony’s
first product

The very first product we ever made was our wine holder ‘The Wine Anchor by Tranekjer’, which is designed by Tony Tranekjer. He designed it because he was not able to find a wine rack that he liked. The Tranekjer wine holder has a raw appearance and is clearly inspired by the maritime world where Tony has worked most of his life. Every wine holder is handmade and produced in Denmark.

Anja’s first product

The Diversity Diamond.  One module – many options

In her first product, Anja Tranekjer was inspired by the sharp and clean lines of the diamond. The Diversity Diamond is a unit of shelves where the practical use is combined with the beauty of the design. A versatile piece of design to hang on any wall of the house. Use one, two or three units together to make a beautiful diamond shelf. Many units on a wall will create a fantastic, geometrical pattern. Check our Instagram profile for more inspiration.
